How it works

Starting out

The first step is a conversation, free of charge and without obligation. This gives us the chance to talk about what has brought you here, what you are hoping for, and whether TheraCoaching feels like the right kind of support.

If it seems like a good fit, we will agree on how to work together. This includes: what kind of focus makes sense, how often we meet, what you want to work towards, and how we will know whether things are moving in the right direction.

Nothing is set in stone. The work evolves as you do.

Sessions

Sessions typically last 50–60 minutes and take place online via video call, or in person where available.

There is no fixed number of sessions. Some people benefit from a focused short run of six to eight conversations. Others find that a longer, more open-ended engagement is what they need. We discuss this together, and review it periodically.

The pace of the work

TheraCoaching does not follow a rigid programme or push you towards outcomes on a fixed timeline.

The work has direction. It is not aimless. The direction comes from you. Each session will usually have a focus, and over time there will be a shape to what we are working on. But the pace is yours, and the agenda belongs to you.

Confidentiality

What you say in sessions is confidential. There are narrow exceptions: situations where safety requires that confidentiality is broken. These will be explained clearly at the outset. Outside of those situations, what you share stays between us.

Fees

£90 per session

£750 for a block of ten, paid in advance

These are my current rates while I am establishing the practice. They will rise as availability reduces. The first conversation is always free and without obligation.

Cancellation

Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged.

Before you decide

Before committing to work with anyone, including me, I would encourage you to speak to three or four other coaches or therapists first.

Not because I am not confident in what I offer. But because the relationship matters more than the method, and you should make this choice from a position of real comparison rather than just taking the first option that sounds reasonable.

If you come back having done that, the work will start from a stronger foundation.
